The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070R) is the Canon RF-mount version of Tamron's acclaimed fast-aperture standard zoom for APS-C mirrorless cameras — delivering a class-leading 4.1× zoom ratio with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, built-in Vibration Compensation (VC), and ultra-quiet RXD autofocus in a remarkably compact 18.5-ounce package. On Canon's APS-C RF-mount bodies (EOS R7, R10, R50, R100), the 17-70mm covers a versatile 27.2–112mm equivalent range that handles everything from wide-angle landscapes and interior architecture to mid-telephoto portraits and street photography — all at a bright f/2.8 that lets you shoot in low light and create beautiful background blur that slower kit zooms simply cannot achieve.

The constant f/2.8 aperture is the defining advantage. While kit lenses typically start at f/3.5 and slow down to f/5.6 or f/6.3 as you zoom in, the Tamron stays at f/2.8 across the entire 17–70mm range.
