Bose Immersive Audio with TrueSpatial technology is the headline feature that was previously exclusive to the QuietComfort Ultra series. TrueSpatial virtualizes a stereo signal so that music sounds like it's coming from a pair of speakers positioned in the room in front of you, rather than from somewhere inside your head. Three modes tailor the experience: Still mode pins the perceived sound source in space so it stays fixed when you turn your head — ideal for stationary listening at your desk. Motion mode lets the soundstage track your movements so it follows you naturally while walking or commuting. Cinema mode widens the soundstage and centers dialogue for a more immersive experience with movies, TV shows, and podcasts. The spatial effect works from any audio source — no Dolby Atmos or 360 Reality Audio content required.

USB-C lossless audio at up to 24-bit/48kHz is the other major addition. Connect the headphones to your phone, laptop, or desktop via USB-C and audio streams at full lossless resolution — exceeding what Bluetooth codecs can deliver wirelessly.
